The right response to the wrong person becomes the wrong response.
Peace begins the moment we stop climbing and start coming down.
Release requires one. Rebuild requires two.
Reconciliation requires relationship. But healing doesn’t.
The cross covers what you’ve done. The resurrection recovers what you’ve lost.
Never me vs. you. Always us vs. the problem.
As children, we honor their command. As adults, we honor their counsel.
Form them to become like Jesus. Don’t force them to behave like Jesus.
Work is cursed, but it isn’t a curse.

“Lord, where are you inviting me to become unoffendable?”
The PostureTake one step down
One act of humility, gentleness, patience, or bearing with someone in love.
The ProcessWalk the four R’s
Bring one unresolved relationship to Jesus. Rebuke yourself. Repent yourself. Release them. Rebuild.
Your ChurchTake your step
Ask: is there a step toward peace that is mine to take? Pursue what is possible. Release the rest.
Your PastRedeem the time
Memorize Ephesians 5:15-16. “Look carefully then how you walk… making the best use of the time.”
Your SpousePick one habit
Name one change you want to see. Choose one of the seven habits, like attacking the problem, not the person.
Your ParentsWrite the letter
Or make the call. Name the ways they shaped you and what you’re grateful for.
Your ChildrenSpeak life
Spend one-on-one time. Ask God what he’s doing in them, then name what you see.
Your WorkWork redemptively
Do one thing that costs you something but makes someone else’s work better.
Prayer of Peace
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
